This is a very personal issue. The right time is when your date has made you feel happy and excited about life, about seeing them again.

Simple gifts like a small posy or bouquet of flowers is always appreciated. Most women appreciate the thought that has gone behind the gift rather than the amount of money that is spent on the item.
Gifts are an indication of appreciation and a sign that you are thinking about someone when you are not together.
Including her favourite flowers in the arrangement is a sure way to make an impression.
Boxes of chocolates are another alternative, with a note, mentioning that you wish you were there to share them!
